Rosalee González

Rosalee González is a dedicated public servant, Latina community advocate, and parent whose leadership stems from empathy and lived experience. Born in Brooklyn to Puerto Rican parents and now a proud Bloomfield resident, she understands the importance of inclusive representation. Her family background has instilled in her a deep commitment to her community’s diversity and well-being.
Rosalee brings over 20 years of professional experience as a Sleep Technologist, including 11 years serving veterans at the VA—a role that reflects her dedication to those who served our country. She is also specifically trained to respond to chemical or biological emergencies, illustrating her readiness to act in critical situations.
Driven by her experience raising neurodivergent children, Rosalee co-founded a boys’ mentoring group and has taken an active role in supporting local schools and sports programs. In addition, she offers vital translation services and serves as a bridge for Latino and immigrant communities, helping families access key resources. As a bilingual herself, with a Bachelor’s in Language and Culture, Rosalee embodies compassion, connection, and clarity.
As Bloomfield’s First Ward Councilwoman, Rosalee is focused on strengthening families, empowering youth, and ensuring Bloomfield remains a thriving, inclusive home for all residents.
