Corey Anderson
Commissioner At Large

Corey S. Anderson is a proven community leader and candidate for Essex County Commissioner who believes leadership starts with service. With more than 16 years as a Certified Domestic Violence Advocate working with a 501(c)(3) nonprofit
organization, Corey has stood on the front lines supporting families in crisis, advocating for survivors, and fighting to ensure that no voice goes unheard.
A lifelong community organizer, Corey has brought residents together through action—not just words. He founded a free annual community block party, now in its fifth year, creating access to local resources and strengthening neighborhood unity. He also launched a town Christmas parade that has become a cherished tradition, promoting community pride and supporting small businesses.
Corey understands that a strong county begins with strong neighborhoods. He has worked directly with local small
businesses to improve parking coordination and traffic flow, helping increase visibility and economic opportunity. His hands-on leadership reflects his commitment to practical solutions that improve daily life for residents.
Running for Essex County Commissioner, Corey’s platform is rooted in public safety, economic growth, community engagement, and transparent government. He is committed to:
Strengthening support for families and survivors
Expanding opportunities for small businesses
Investing in safe, vibrant neighborhoods
Ensuring responsible and accountable county leadership
