Wilson A. Pichardo, Esq., was born and raised in Newark, New Jersey. He is proud to be a product of the city’s institutions and has committed his career to giving back to the community that has significantly shaped his life.

Wilson’s educational journey began at the Robert Treat Academy Charter School. He went on to attend Episcopal High School in Alexandria, Virginia, where he graduated with honors. Wilson later attended Lehigh University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. He continued his education at Seton Hall University School of Law, earning his Juris Doctor, and is licensed to practice law in both New Jersey and Washington, D.C.


Deeply committed to his community, Wilson remains actively involved in civic and educational initiatives throughout Newark. He regularly volunteers his time mentoring students through career days and educational events and participates in community initiatives organized by local elected officials, including food distributions to schools and senior centers. He has also supported voter education efforts, canvassing to promote participation in all elections, including school board elections, and has contributed to community drives such as turkey and toy for families in need.


Since 2018, Wilson has served on the Board of Trustees for the Robert Treat Academy Charter School, helping guide the institution that played a foundational role in his development. In 2024, he was elected District Leader for Newark’s North Ward, District 2. He also served on the City of Newark’s Supplemental Zoning Board from 2024 to 2025 and was appointed to the Essex County Board of Taxation in December 2025. Through these roles, Wilson remains focused on strengthening local institutions and expanding opportunities for the next generation in Newark.
